Okay so I just finished watching Once upon a time in Hollywood.
OMG What a masterpiece this was.
I absolutely adored the film.
A true "moviegeek" film.
I can't wait to see it again!
The day it comes out on blu ray I will buy it immediately.
I cannot recommend this enough.
This movie is a celebration of the sixties, Hollywood and a new generation of teens that changed the culture.
It's a story of a has-been actor just trying his best, coping with reality and his journey with his good friend and stuntman Cliff.
I mean just the acting alone is worth seeing the movie for.
The way Tarantino directs this movie reminds me of his early movies from the 90's.
And man its good to be back!
The ending was amazing.
And despite stupid comments from people who are offended by the Bruce lee scene, and some of the violence towards women in this film.
Omg I mean SHUT UP.
It's a movie, and its brilliant!
Its fiction, Quentin can do whatever he wants to.
It's a celebration of the old Spaghetti westerns and Hollywood in the old days.
And old tv shows and so-forth.
Tarantino being the massive tv/film geek he is.
He knows all the names of the people in the industry back then, and all the movies.
It's such a detailed film, and I truly enjoyed it.
The music as always in a Tarantino film, was brilliant.
There is really nothing bad to say about the film if you ask me.
All the amazing actors who show up in small parts. I mean its just so much fun.
I truly hope all film fans goes and sees it as soon as possible.
The dynamic relationship between DiCaprio and Brad Pitt was beautiful.
I wanna be in that universe talking to those characters.
The transformation the two guys make, is insane!
It will go down in the history books for sure!
There are so many aspects to this film that can be analyzed and discussed.
The Sharon Tate plot and her part in the film is cool.
I loved that part of the film.
But Pitt and DiCaprio are obviously the stars of this show.
And for a good reason.
The film is very touching at times, and is on the bottomline a story about a struggling actor who can't comprehend that time went by him, and his friendship with his stuntman.
Those are the important aspects of the film.
I wanted the movie to be so much longer!
I would love Tarantino to put out a much longer directors cut.
But he probably won't do that, sadly.
He truly is the master of leaving you wanting a little more.
To sum it up.
Definitely on the top 3 of Tarantino's filmography
